Working principle of air brake clutch

There are many names for air brake clutch in the market, basically including air pressure disc brake, air pressure disc clutch, air pressure disc brake, air pressure through shaft clutch, air pressure through shaft brake, air pressure through shaft brake, pneumatic brake, pneumatic clutch, pneumatic brake, etc. Its working principle is not very complicated. It is connected by air pressure and released by return spring. The disc slides along the axis by air pressure and contacts the friction plate. The disc, friction plate, etc. are assembled on the hub to form an integrated structure. The friction plate can be disassembled by unscrewing the adjusting nut, and the exchange is simple. It has good heat dissipation function and is widely used. Mainly in packaging machinery, corrugated machinery, cable equipment, paper machinery and other industries.

In terms of safety in use of air brake clutch, the following four points are specified:

Because the air brake does not use electronic parts, it will not produce electrical sparks. However, in the ignition environment with solvent, please consider and discuss the number of rotations and heat generation during connection, braking, etc.

Please use it within the allowable connection and braking workload. If it is overloaded, the heating will increase, and the friction surface will become red and hot, which will become the cause of fire. Also, the original performance cannot be used, so please do not overload.

Do not increase the number of revolutions without permission by exceeding the allowable number of revolutions. If it is used beyond the allowable rotation number, the vibration will become larger. Depending on the situation, it may be damaged, flying and other very dangerous conditions. Be sure to allow less than the number of rotations.

When tightening the bolts, the breakage will lead to a very dangerous state. The bolts, adhesives, spring washers, etc. of specified materials must be tightened according to the specified torque, and anti loosening measures must be taken.
